St Thomas Anglican Church

Joint Lenten Study and Ash Wednesday Services

Join us for our 2013 Lenten study

Joint study between St. Thomas Anglican Church and First Lutheran Church
Held in the basement of First Lutheran Church, 6:30pm-8:15pm
Wednesdays February 20, February 27, March 6, and March 20

This course will reflect on the life of the Hebrew Prophet Nehemiah, learning from his example of living in a broken city and his response to God’s call to help those around him change and rebuild their lives physically, economically, and spiritually.

The primary focus of this study is to help our Christian community learn different methods of building relationship with all of God’s people living within our local communities, and to provide the space and opportunity to think about how to respond to God’s call in our own context today.

While we often feel helpless about the state of our fast-paced and sometimes hostile world, this time spent in study will help to foster a sense of hope in place of fear, a sense of responsibility in place of disengagement, and teach us to seek change by simply building relationships and organizing with those living in our midst.

Please register with Margaret if you are interested in participating in this Lenten study. There will be no cost for materials; please bring along a bible and writing materials to the evening sessions, and if able a snack to share.
